Steps To Start Therapy

Step 1: Please review the information below including the Get Started Payment/Insurance FAQ.

Step 2: Email [email protected] with the following:

Your Name and Age (18+)
Payment Type (Self-pay / Insurance / Superbill)
Location (must be in Oregon or Washington)
Availability (9:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Thursday)
And a bit about what brings you to therapy

Step 3: You will receive a response within the week sharing available reoccurring appointment times.

If a spot matches your schedule, we can arrange a free 20-minute phone consultation to make sure I'm the right fit for you!

Therapy Fee self-pay/out-of-pocket

Free - Initial Phone Consultation, 20 min
$150 - Regular Session, 50 min
$180 - Extended Session, 60 min
$190 - Intake Evaluation, 60-80 min

Contact your insurance online or by phone to ask the following:

Is Allie Reed Counseling an In-Network Provider? If not, what are my Out-of-Network Benefits? See Superbill option.
Is Telehealth covered for outpatient mental health therapy?
For Telehealth (video/phone) What is my Co-pay, Co-insurance, Deductible, Out-of-Pocket Maximum?

Clients using an accepted insurance typically pay a small Co-pay / Co-insurance per session and insurance covers the remaining fee after deductible.

Out-of-Network / Superbill

Superbill Option: If you have insurance that ARC does not accept, but you have Out-of-Network benefits, a Superbill can be provided. A Superbill is an emailed receipt of self-payment that you submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Consult your insurance about Out-of-Network benefits.

Good Faith Estimate

An explanation of the cost of treatment provided to clients who are not using insurance for payment (in accordance with the No Surprises Act).

Common Insurance Terms

Common Terms as applied to Allie Reed Counseling, LLC *consult your insurance for definitions and plan specifications:

Deductible - amount you pay before insurance covers the fee, then co-pay/co-insurance may apply
Co-Pay - amount you pay per session after deductible
Co-Insurance - percentage you pay per session after deductible
Out-of-Pocket Limit - the most you pay in a year for covered services
Out-of-Network Benefits - benefits specific to a provider that is not in-network
Superbill - an emailed receipt of self-payment to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement
